What is VYRNA?
VYRNA is an app where you take on realistic professional mandates inside fictional companies. Colleagues email you, documents are waiting, deadlines are set, and you produce real deliverables. At the end, you compare your decisions with the company’s and keep proof of your work in your portfolio.
Who is VYRNA for?
Anyone who wants to practice: college and university students, recent graduates, career changers, working professionals, and industry experts who share what they know. Colleges, universities and companies can also get custom mandates.
How is VYRNA different from an online course?
A course teaches concepts. On VYRNA, you apply them inside a company with a history, an industry, colleagues and curveballs. Not everything is written down: you have to find information, check it and cross-reference it. And there’s no grade, only a comparison with what the company actually decided.
Are the colleagues real people?
No. The colleagues in a mandate are fictional characters with a role, a personality and a memory, powered by AI. They answer according to their priorities and may know more than what’s written down. The community, on the other hand, is made of real members.
What levels of responsibility are there?
Each mandate gives you a specific role, such as coordinator, specialist or director. From one mandate to the next, the same company can give you more responsibility, just like a real career.
What is a fictional company on VYRNA?
An invented company with its own industry, company profile, data room, employees and history. Its mandates follow one another over time: what was decided in one mandate becomes the starting point for the next.

Where can I practice marketing before my first job?

How can I gain experience without a job?
By practicing on realistic situations. On VYRNA, every mandate recreates a real work situation: finding information, checking it, deciding and defending your choices. It’s hands-on experience, not a job, and your portfolio documents it.
Is there an alternative to an internship for practicing?
A work simulation doesn’t replace an internship, but it lets you practice before or alongside one, at your own pace. VYRNA offers realistic mandates, solo or as a team, without waiting for a position to open up.
What is a business simulation for students?

Mandates
How long does a mandate take?
Each mandate shows its own estimated time, based on its scope. It’s a guide, not a limit: you work at your own pace within a 30-day window.
What happens after 30 days?
The mandate closes. If your file hasn’t been submitted, you can start the mandate again from the beginning.
Are the companies real?
No. The companies, characters and data are fictional and created by VYRNA for learning. The situations, however, are inspired by real work.
Is my mandate graded?
No. A mandate has no grade and no score. At the end, you compare your decisions with the company’s and see why it decided the way it did. Only challenges are evaluated.
Can I use AI?
Yes. Just like at work, you use the tools of your time. What matters is your decisions and what they’re based on.
Can I do a mandate as a team?
Yes. A mandate can be done solo or as a team. Invite friends or find teammates in the community.
Which fields are covered?
Marketing first: product launches, conversion, retention, crisis management, new markets. Other departments will follow.
Portfolio
Who can see my portfolio?
You decide: only you, or anyone with the link. Full deliverables stay private, except through a recruiter link you create.
What is a recruiter link?
A temporary, watermarked link that gives one specific person access to your full deliverables. It expires, and it doesn’t reveal the mandate to other members.
Do my community badges show up in my portfolio?
No. Your portfolio stays professional: it shows your mandates, your proven skills and your reflections.
The beta and the founding cohort
Is it free?
Yes, during the beta. A premium plan will follow, and founding members will get a founding rate.
How is my founding spot confirmed?
It’s reserved when you sign up and becomes final when you submit your first mandate. Spots that aren’t confirmed after a set period are released to the waitlist.
How does the referral program work?
You get a personal link. A referral counts when that person completes their first mandate, not just when they sign up.

Can my school have its own mandates?
Yes. VYRNA builds custom mandates for colleges and universities, reserved for their students.
Can a company use VYRNA for hiring?
Yes. A custom mandate can serve as a work sample: you see how a candidate looks for information, makes decisions and defends them.
Is our internal data used?
No. The fictional company is inspired by your reality without exposing your data. Custom mandates stay reserved for your organization.
